The ARTNet bi-annual meeting for 2024, took place at the NIH Shady Grove Campus at Rockville. This meeting served as a convergence point for all ARTNet investigators, which featured a series of talks that highlighted the scientific accomplishments, challenges, and opportunities that have emerged in the field of acquired resistance to therapy on a network-wide scale.
The meeting featured 2 thematic panel discussions on key topics with the objective to expand beyond the network’s original focal points, encouraging new collaborative opportunities and thereby enhance its impact.
1. Race/Ethnicity/Gender-based disparities in clinical patterns or biological mechanisms of acquired resistance
2. Computational Methodologies and Challenges in Utilizing AI/ML for Acquired Resistance Research
The Keynote talk on “The Multifactorial Nature of Multidrug Resistance in Cancer” was provided by Dr. Michael Gottesman.
